K-Designers

Who needs a new house? I DO! Okay, maybe I don’t need a whole new house, but the one I have could use some improvements. Living in a 1920’s farm house does come with its positives and negatives. The history of the home is lovely, the leaky roof is not. Our cows live in a newer and possibly better insulated home than we do! Should I move into the barn and make the cows live in the house? Nah.

Actually, my husband fancies himself a handyman and has attempted to fix the various creaks and leaks in our home. He has, unfortunately, failed miserably. Of course I wouldn’t tell him that, it would bruise his ego too badly. What I *will* do, though, is to call K-Designers tomorrow while he’s out working. K-Designers has been renovating homes for thirty years and cannot possibly do worse than we have already done (haha). Seriously though, can I tell my husband that K-Designers drove by our house and took pity on us an offered to fix it? No, probably not.

YMT Vacations

While I love my home, with my fresh veggie garden and various on-going projects, sometimes getting away from it all is just what the doctor ordered. As a homeschooling mom and "real food" foodie, I’m frequently occupied with lesson plans, bread making, mixing up homemade yogurt and cheese, and various gooey and crazy science experiments. So the problem is not "getting away", but more so finding time to *plan* the getaway, and of course *pay for* the getaway.

YMT vacations, started in 1967, is what I would label a "wholesale" vacation service. YMT Vacations offers amazing vacations at prices that even this one-income family can afford. In addition to being extremely affordable, YMT vacations also makes it easy by providing all inclusive packages such as tours and cruises. The tour vacations take the hassle out of traveling by making sure that you see all the scenic spots available in the area, without requiring you to plan out your own agenda beforehand (I’m terrible at that).

Basically, I would prefer that my vacation be just that - a vacation. Happy traveling!

Did you know?

Did you know that milk from real, grassfed beef is slightly yellow in color? This is further concentrated during the butter making process, which is why we think of butter as being yellow. Unfortunately, nowadays we are forced to add artificial coloring to make the butter yellow due to the severe malnutrition of grain fed cattle.

When are we going to realize that bigger and faster isn’t always better? When the human race is on the verge of extinction due to disease directly caused by poor nutrition? I hope it doesn’t come to that.
